Wow since no one has started threads in here and I am a HUGE Jrock fanatic who has this bad habbit of following Bands around and crying when I miss one ( ;-; I mIssed The Pillows, Phantasmagorea, and Blood) or crying when a concert is cancelled (Mana cancelled because a band member quite and then he skiped teh east coast and went to california -_- ) or when they play where I cant get to (Dacco and Hyde both played California) anyways Who is your FAVORITE Musicians or songs if you have a particular song? What is a band you would give your Right Arm to see? Do you want Jrock updates from me? (I am usually good on Jrock info like who is playing where and when and stuff. Comes with knowing people at Tofu Records and Jhousejrock Inc.) My answers: 1. Right now its getting close to a tie between Gazette, DespairsRay, An Cafe, Kishidan, Yoshiki, Miyavi, Kirito, Psycho Le Cemu, and Orange Range 2. I gave up my financial stability to see Yura-sama from teh old Psycho le Cemu (they broke up I am so sad) so now that I met my idol I am wanting to meet Miyavi, Aoi from Gazette, Kanon from An Cafe, or more alone time with All members of DespairsRay

J-music updates would be most exccellent!! I'm not really sure who my favorites are, I don't even know who my favorite American singers are >_< I tend to like songs more than just the artist.
I would like to know more about the J-music industry...I have a friend that works at Tofu Records so she tries to keep me informed, but she's still kinda speaking Greek to me in Japanese >_< but at least she has information that a lot of people don't know about yet.

mercy - I use to be like that ^o^ I still am if I dont write the name down I dont know who it is. Unless its a band I love 90% of their stuff or have seen live. I shall definatly post reports then ^-^ I should probably start you all off on the 4 DespairsRay concerts, 2 MUCC, Psycho le Cemu (unfortunatly one of their final 3 concerts before the lead singer was arrested), and the Q&A with Yoshiki of Xjapan, Yura-sama of PLC/Dacco/Alastar, Seek and Aya of PLC/Isabelle. ;-; Though it looks as if I shall not be seeing 12012 getting to TX from PA is not easy when the flight rules have changed so much -_-
The music industry in Japan is hard to understand. They have a huge amount of Indies bands that never go major label and others that go major after many years. then there are the bands that are just temp bands while the members of other bands thta have disbanded get to gether for until they get a main group (you keep your fan base if you dont dissapear completely) or the ones where its a special promosion like the Alastar group thats more like a Jrock Opera. They dont tend to earn a lot of money at all. Even major label bands dont make the big money. The few who have made a great deal of welth are Mana, Gackt, Yoshiki and other Major world wide known Idividuals that made a side business like Jewlery or clothing lines. ^.^ It is definatly looking into for more info though.
amaryllis - OoO I LOVE Koda Kumi and all the rest of them *-* very good Jpop Favorites.

lol yeah I know. I think this yera has hit me the hardest with solo acts and break ups though. a lot of big name greats have broken up: Psycho le Cemu, Pirotte, Kaggra, and Mana losing more members. The only bright side good news has been that Yoshiki from X-japan is going to be touring again next year with his new group "Violet UK" that he's been working on the songs for 10 years. The ones he has released so far are so sad.. he was really effected by Hides suicide -_-
